“On the glass, I trace the sun with my thumb. It sinks into the ground. Nightfall. Nightfall and everyone is asleep. They sleep as if yesterday had not happened, as if yesterday was a dream. I am pretty sure it was not.”
Ten Thousand Lines takes place during a time when human beings are sharply divided by class and discontentment brews under the placid surface of the city called Superbia. When a Hive 14 Worker snaps out of his drug-induced haze, the brew becomes a boil and a series of events set into motion a witch hunt, a forbidden romance, and a revolution. But the Hive 14 Worker doesn't care about politics and social justice. He only wants to sit quietly and watch the dusty sunset.
Ten Thousand Lines is the 2nd novel by author and freelance writer Kate Bitters.
